Cuprinol Garden Wood Preserver

Cuprinol Garden Wood Preserver works in three ways to colour and protect rough sawn and smooth planed garden wood.

5 year colour performance. Protects against weather, rot & decay.

It penetrates deep into wood to protect against rot, decay and mould growth. Special colourfast pigments give rich natural shades that resist fading and bleaching for up to 5 years (smooth planed wood may require more regular treatment). Water repellent waxes and resins help prevent rain penetration whilst allowing the wood to breathe, resisting cracking and flaking.

A 1L tin is normally sufficient for:
Smooth planed bare wood: 6m with 2 to 3 coats.
Rough sawn wood: 3-4m with 2 coats. Coverage may be less on absorbent wood.
Redecoration: 12m with 1 coat.

Bird Brand Wood Preserver 5 Litre

Bird Brand Wood Preserver is a mixture of active ingredients (propiconazole) and solvents to ensure a deeply penetrating and lasting finish. It can be used on sheds, fence and timber products where decorative colour and chemical preservative are required.

This Bird Brand Spirit Based Wood Preservative (which is also water repellent when dry) is HSE Approved and easy to apply by brush, spray or dipping. Choice of 7 colours

The rich woodshade colours of Cuprinol Total Garden Wood Treatment contain long lasting pigments and UV filters which ensure they last up to five years.

Cuprinol Wood Preserver Clear (IP) is a colourless general-purpose preserver for interior or exterior use. It gives deep penetrating protection to sound wood against decay, mould and blue-staining fungi.

This low odour formula has been specially developed with low aromatic solvents to make it more pleasant and convenient to use.

Bird Brand Wood Preserver 25 Litres and 205 Litres

Bird Brand Creocote (Creosote Substitute) 20L

Bird Brand Creocote has been reforumulated for 2009 so it contains many of the same penetrating oils that are contained in traditional creosote and creosote subsisute but no longer claims or contains the active ingredient and wood preservative. Still used on external timbers with the other characteristics well liked in Creosotes.

Bird Brand Ecosote Wood Preserver 20L

From 2009 Creosote Substitute cannot now claim or be registered as a wood preservative. There is a still a need for a low cost but effective wood preservative.

ECOSOTE effectively preserves external timber to prevent fungi and decay and is registered with the HSE (UK Health & Safety Executive Tested & Approved). The active ingredients (boron + biocide) are natural decay inhibitors that fight fungi and also control green algae growth. Although it is water based it penetrates timber just like a solvent based wood preservative.
